PRESS RELEASE: Dakota Dental Helps Patients Save on Professional Teeth Whitening Services

July 31, 2018Dakota DentalPress Release

Apple Valley, MN—Dakota Dental is now offering patients a special teeth-whitening discount this summer. Starting at $199, patients can now save $200 off professional teeth bleaching services at the clinic’s Apple Valley location.

Though staining on teeth can happen all year round, summer is an especially prominent time for consuming foods and beverages that can yellow teeth over time. Aside from avoiding staining drinks like coffee, tea, soda, wine, and foods like berries, it’s also important to help prevent staining by brushing teeth regularly and drinking plenty of water to prevent stains from sitting on the teeth.

Whitening toothpastes can also help with light stains, but since they are abrasive, they can also wear away at the tooth’s enamel over time. In fact, this can cause staining foods and beverage to more easily stain a tooth, if the enamel has been worn away.

Using over-the-counter whitening kits can help patients whiten their teeth, but if teeth have significant staining, patients may want to consider professional teeth whitening options. The dentists at Dakota Dental offer safe and effective Light-Activated whitening options and teeth bleaching services for patients to achieve a brighter, whiter smile.

Light-Activated whitening is a process where a concentrated hydrogen peroxide solution is painted onto a patient’s teeth and then a strong light is applied to speed up the whitening process.

Teeth bleaching, which patients can now experience for $199, uses hydrogen peroxide to bleach the stain particles that are trapped on the surface layers of the tooth’s enamel. Although teeth bleaching can whiten teeth over a period of a few weeks and multiple applications, many patients begin seeing noticeable improvements in as little as two weeks. This is because teeth bleaching not only removes surface stain, but similar to Light-Activated whitening, the gel used during this treatment changes the color of the enamel, so result are both dramatic and easy to maintain.

Before patients can decide which teeth whitening treatment is right for their smile, it’s important to discuss options with a dentist first. Factors like medications, tooth injuries, veneers, and more can play a vital role in determining the best way to whiten a patient’s teeth. The dentists at Dakota Dental can consult with patients on which option will offer them the best results.

Dakota Dental specializes in several teeth whitening services and can help determine if a patient is a good candidate for teeth whitening, as well as help educate patients on the benefits of professional teeth whitening.
