Gentle dental care at Dakota Dental

In May 2012, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) released a data brief about the oral health of Americans. By examining the numbers of treated and untreated cavities and the number of cases of tooth loss between 2005 and 2008, researchers determined the current status of oral health in the United States.

The researchers found that there are fewer cavities in the nation. Further, tooth loss has declined due, in part, to an improvement in patient attitudes, dental procedures, and prevention tools such as sealants. Though the study did indicate a positive trend with fewer cavities in the United States overall, it also uncovered a problem. Attitudes about and access to dental care for those living in poverty and for those of different ethnicities need to change. Dakota Dental is responsive and ready to help.

At Dakota Dental, we understand the importance of proper dental services and maintenance of oral health. We are a dental practice that welcomes the entire family, especially those with fears of dentists and dental work.  Our Dakota Dental Apple Valley Dentists, Doctors Shelley Wakefield and Bennett Isabella, strive to provide the information each patient needs to make intelligent decisions for their dental care. As a general dental services practice, we at Dakota Dental support regular examinations to ensure optimal health and offer emergency dental treatment for those unexpected situations.

When it comes to payment for dental procedures, we encourage an open and honest discussion of payment options and arrangements before treatment. Though Dakota Dental works to keep dental costs as low as possible, we understand that it is important to offer options to help our patients obtain the care and treatment they need. From processing dental insurance forms to accepting credit card payments to arranging monthly payment schedules, Dakota Dental is here to assist you.
